Can't believe time has flown so quickly. Don't know what I could have been doing.

Son, John, called me from Paris, France yesterday to tell me his wife, Jamie, was very ill here in Houston. I had called a couple of times, but decided she was very busy or flying again. I got her later and she really sounded ill. Had an UTI problem - and I know how that feels. Didn't feel like having anyone yesterday, but I will take her lunch today.

Son, Bob, came by yesterday and brought lunch. He is on his way for a week's work in El Paso and Las Cruces, N. M. He has a big job both places - at Bliss air base in Texas and a court house in N. M. He has Superintendents both places, but has to drop in to make the Main Contractor happy.

I can't seem to get busy on anything lately. Have sewing I need to cut out, and just keep moving it around.

It is so hot here this week and will be for a while - no rain in the forecast. Good thing I have a sprinkling system or my yard might bake. I had a huge air conditioning bill last month and it might go over the $300 mark this month. Also will have a pretty large water bill. So what, it's only money, and you can't take it with you.
