Up date on broken ankle --- It is broken on both sides, so we are having surgery Tuesday. Dr. said if I was not so active and in good shape, she would let it go, but said I would be happier with pins in it. She needs a "Lets go" from my Internist, so I will have to go see her Monday. Really don't see the reason for this as my blood pressure in e room was something like 110/42. But I guess my fam doc needs a few bucks for school shoes for her kids. Ha!!

Had a pretty bad day Friday, but today, the pain has subsided and I am doing okay - no pain nedicine since early this a.m. I told you guys that I am a tough old bird.

Every that came to take care of us has left and we will be quiet until tomorrow. The nurse will come in a.m. and dil will be here after lunch. I rather enjoy the quietness when all leave. But we have needed a little pampering.

The grandson told us his father had bought himself a Corvette yesterday. I know the dil is mad - he really should grow up. He will have to clean out a spot in the barn to store it. But as son said, he works hard for his money and should enjoy it. Grandmother wasn't so kind. Ha!! Now for a family of three, we have an antique cadillac, a new caddy, a Mustang, a truck and a Honda. And now a Corvette.

The H1N1 flu as struck close to home. One of the men in Bob's company went to the doctor either Thursday or Friday and was diagnosed with it. They took a nose swab and either gave him a shot (or something) and told him to go home and stay until MOnday. Evidentally it doesn't last long, but I know of two men in the 30's that died here last week. I am no afraid of taking it - seems to skip us oldies.

Guess, I had better get this ugly leg up in the air for a while, It actually feels better hanging down.
