Still in a bit of a "downer" these days. Feel a bit useless since I am unable to do much of anything. With only one good leg, there is not much to do. Seems like I need to stand up to do my chores.

Had a good Thanksgiving day with youngest son and his family. We had a small group, just seven of us - but plan to have all for Christmas if they will come. Instead of Turkey, I am having a prime rib roast done by the Barbeque man. He did one many years ago and I cannot get it off my mind. Hope we can find a bargain on beef that week. Ha!! May have 18 people for lunch.

Today sister and I are alone again. Our wonderful "Keeper" took a couple of days off for her fifth anniversary. Son and wife came over yesterday, but we don't expect anyone today.

I think I have made one toooo many appointments for tomorrow. Hope I can find someone to house sit and let the cable man in here. I forgot that I had to go to the Orthopedic at 11:15 a.m. and the TV guy is coming about the same time. I think I might be loosing some of my "marbles".

The deck and covered patio is so wonderful. I am really going to enjoy it - even in the winter here. It is earth colored and the roof is some sort of new roof that is as clear as glass. It feels soft to your hand, but looks great on the roof. The homeowners' group didn't catch me, so I could have a clear roof instead of a shingled one.

We decided not to give gifts again this year, which means everyone will give one to whom-ever they want. And grandma will give one to everyone. Ha!! I ususally get a fairly nice check just before the holidays and that will be my gift to all. I miss not getting to shop for everyone - but can't this year anyway.
