Didn't realize I had been so busy as to neglect my friends. We have a wonderful lady coming in each week-day to help sister from 7 a..m. until 1 p.m. Didn't know I would have so much pressure removed from me.

I have been in a sewing mood. Made a cute skirt of denim, but it was so heavy that I just put it in the box that was going to the re-sale store. That makes my last two garments unwearable. I have to stop that. Have about ten pieces of fabric to sew, so I won't miss them, and one of my grand dils could wear the dress I spent so much time on. Making it perfect inside also. Ha!!

Yesterday morning was so nice and cool outside, that I almost thought fall had arrived, but my noon, it was beginning to be our Houston summer. The heat has only bothered me one week. I am a warm weather gal!!

Have been planning a dinner for all my grand kids and spouses, etc. All will be here except the two in Europe and one in Oregon and two that wouldn't miss an Aggie game for anything. Ha!! I promised them I would not be mad. I will just save about $30's. Ha!! The rest of them will have a good time.

I think I am starting to have arthritis in both hands. Every morning they are so sore. I am not going to let that stop my sewing and beading tho.

Had a leak around the fireplace on my roof, and the nice lady who comes every day said her husband would repair it - and he refused payment. I am not used to that. He is a very nice man and I hope I can hire him to do my small jobs that I find around here. But, if he won't take pay, I will find someone else.

Must stop and get busy. I want to sew a little bit today. Like to serge all the seams on my garments before I put them together. Makes for a pretty garment inside.
