I do not get it.
First you cannot sue someone for slander because if it is in a blog it is published which makes it libel. Not slander and If I or the person who says it believes it to be true it is not even liable. No one can be sued for their opinion of you even if it is negative. I honestly believe we have a couple of psychos amongst us though they have behaved well on mybloggers but that is my opinion of their behavior and not libelous.
If you call me a slut or any other alternative form of that word you can find in a thesaurus and you believe it to be true there is nothing I can do to you.
Let’s say though that you say to someone that holly is really a man, I know I have met her, talked with her on the phone and watched her talk on the phone with clients and she has a thicker uni-brow than Fonzi and is hung like Mr.Ed and are presenting this as fact. I can sue you. Also, I would sue you.
Now lets get to why? You cannot sue someone because they hurt your feelings. You cannot sue someone because they think you are fat regardless of weather you weight 135 pounds or 450 pounds. That is all according to their personal definition of fat. If the person you are suing believes this about you or believes you are a lair they are allowed to?
Further what are you going to get out of it exactly? What monetary values can you place on the damages they caused? Most who are crying about suing cannot place a loss of anything on what they threaten to sue over. I however could sue you if there was ANY traffic to the site you published this lie on and my monthly income suffered at all that month and again, I would.
Below is an example I made of what libel is , enjoy!
