I had to short sell my home when times were real bad a few years ago. It was very hard to leave the house I thought was going to be an "investment" but it all turned out just fine. I rent now which in a way is much better. When things break, someone else gets to deal with it!!! I'm sure you will get through this just fine. You should try to get back to class though. Exercise is the best cure for depression.

Ive had so many of my friends recommend this movie to me and it's even on my Netflix Que but at the bottom. I will have to move it up to the top and give it a go.
You can shut off the water to the heater, then turn on the hot water in the tub to empty out what is in there (could be up to 75 gallons) Once it is empty you won't have any more leakage. You won't have anymore hot water either though...
Someone should start a fund raiser to raise money to pay the $100 a day fee. Enough money raised would keep the horse there until it dies naturally. Just one person with a $1000 donation would pay for 10 days!!
