You reacted based on previous experience... that doesn't make you a prick. You picked him up and let him take a bath... I'm sure he forgives you for making him cry - hopefully you have forgiven yourself.
Such cute babies! What is it with cats and bathrooms anyway?
OMG!!! *hugs!*
Good gawd... well, I suppose at the very least he's maintaining communication with *someone*... better than no one having any idea that he's having sex in the bushes and getting pothead's tattooed on his body. YAY super aunt!
Oh, what a fantastic, magical story! I love Pete Seeger. When I used to take the bus around the crammed suburbs of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), I couldn't help but hum his tune, "Little Boxes".
I'm very sorry to hear about your mom, and my thoughts will be with you tomorrow as she undergoes her surgery. And yet, at the same time, as painful as it is watching someone you love suffer, I am so happy for you that she did come into your life and became the mother you always deserved.
That is such an uplifting story!! Your comment, "And when I stumbled and fell, if people laughed, I learned to laugh along with them." reminds me of what I read on a church sign we pass on the way to work -- "Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused." BTW, HUGE congrats on Grandchild number three!!
Very cool! Good for you!
That's such terrific news!! Good for you!
I hope he doesn't get any kind of protection... he's an idiot.
I'd sponsor you if I could. There are actually various organizations out there (none coming to the top of my head right now of course ) who are open to sponsor people like yourself to help you start up your own non-profit type business. (And of course, non-profit doesn't have to mean that you won't get paid... you're just getting paid to do what you love.) You never know...
Sounds like a great gift idea! I've symbolically adopted a few animals in people's names as gifts, and for our wedding reception we're encouraging people to spend their money on Pawsitive gifts (www.pawsitivegifts.com)instead of on us.
I really believe that once you start working towards making a difference in your life, everything else will fall into place as its suppose to. Maybe a little volunteer work on the side will eventually give you the qualifications and networks you need for a decent-paying job helping animals... it'll happen! I'm sure of it.
