How sweet of Mike! You take care, and do what the Dr says!
Glad to see you! Hope all is well. Merry Christmas!
The view looks just fine from here!
Reminds me of a story my sister once told me. My aunt, who does a lot of family history work, gave her a letter and asked if she could translate it. My sister, who speaks four foreign languages, began reading the letter and burst out laughing! "It's written in english!" she exclaimed. Turns out this foreign immigrant ancestor wrote the letter in phonetic english but with a thick Norwegian accent.
This tragedy will leave it's mark for a long time on all of us. I don't know what the answer is. I have a 'crazy' daughter, diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. People with mental disorders do many things which are hard to predict, and even harder to control. One thing was always sure for us, we never wanted a gun in the house. Not for any reason!
I don't know why so many have left. Did I miss something? Id does feel like a ghost town around here sometimes.
Sing a song for me!
Lots of decorating boo-boos there! I love to look at houses, too. In one of my recent house projects I painted over someone else's attempt at sponge painting. It was burgundy and beige, and looked almost like a giraffe print. One of my greatest challenges in painting has to do with matching the many different whites of cabinets, doors, and appliances. It's not easy. But the number one rule of house selling... make it look CLEAN! Obviously, someone missed that memo. As for the toilet, they weatherize it against freezing by adding something, (anti-freeze maybe?) to the pipes. Flushing will wash it all down the drain and you will loose your protection.
I almost always leave cash tips. I want to make sure it gets to the right person.
Cute!
One of our cats is constantly climbing into boxes and bags. She crawled into one the other day which Hubby closed up and put a pillow over the top. She never complained! Just stayed in there till it was time to eat. It's cold in our house, so I'm sure she was just trying to stay warm.
I'm sure your Christmas will be far more satisfying than what the throngs of present mongers will experience. I'm like you, growing tired of the whole materialistic mess. I still have one child at home, so we'll continue with some traditions, but greatly pared down. What I've seen over the years is that people tend to give to charities at Christmas time, providing useless junk in the form of presents when what they really need is a car, or insurance, or as you pointed out, a ROOF overhead!
