LOVE your philosophies of life! I'd like to copy them.

I'm surprised it took this long! We avoid commercials wherever possible by watching mostly pre-recorded shows and fast forwarding through them. Don't have any patience for them.

My husband had eye surgery several years ago. Best thing he ever did! Hope everything goes well for yours. You should go out and celebrate (with virgin drinks) this New Years Eve if that's what you like to do. It might be a while before you have another chance.

I agree, the word "path" does more appropriate. I've always loved paths that were strictly for pedestrians. We have some in our neighborhood. When I was young, I would have been all over them. Perhaps some day.

What a happy surprise!!! And how great that you were not so set on your preconceived ideas that you couldn't appreciate it!

I've helped with many "church funerals" where the person honored never even set foot in our church. Maybe the obituary author was trying to secure a funeral venue at no cost.

Around here we have a store called "The Dollar Tree", which is pretty much the same thing. LOVE IT! I'm also a regular at the Habitat Re-store. I was able to paint my family room for about $5 using their paint. I also love to buy doors and trim there. The house I just finished needed three doors and I was Ble to purchase all three for the price of one. I've saved tons of money over the years by shopping there.

Sounds like 'chain gang' talk! This reminds me, our dirt is so hard here we'll need to break out the pickaxe!

I have memories of being half awakened by the tap-tapping fingers of my dad typing away in the wee hours of the morning. Like me, he had atrocious handwriting, so he typed everything he could. The typewriter is probably in my brother's garage if it still exists. The memories of it are neatly tucked away in my heart.

I fly very infrequently yet I've been singled out on several occasions for a more intensive search. The only reason I can think of to do this is as a token of proof that they are NOT profiling.
