That's so amazing about Buttercup! Though we never actually owned any livestock, we used to live around them. I miss being able to sit at my dining table and see cows and pastures. It fed my soul.
I didn't know that living in a cold house was good for you. That's one thing I can check on the list! The thing is, I find being cold to be stressful.

I'm not ready either. Left my food storage when we moved. Always wanted a house that we could hunker down in during an emergency but it hasn't happened yet. Hope the 'apocalyps' doesn't happen anytime soon!

Yeah, some things don't go well with pregnancy... Or little children either for that matter. Best to just enjoy the uniqueness of this time, knowing that there will be other trips in your future. For now, happy nesting!
