Bring It!

Rain was predicted for late this evening and I wasn't ready. No day of rest for me! My ox was definitely in the mire... or would be if I didn't get busy. I've been storing the last load of possessions that I'd brought from Oregon on the back patio, waiting till the family room was ready for it to be brought in.

I'd been puttering around half heartedly on it all week long. I guess I needed a little push. The paint was done but not the floor. I didn't want to bring things in and lay them on a half done floor so that's where I began. It was slow going but I finished it!

It sure would have been nice to quit then. Too bad. I had to get everything off the patio so I called upon my good friend 'dolly'. Together we managed to muscle it all inside, almost in the nick of time. It wasn't supposed to start raining till after midnight but it started early. Fortunately not till I got to the last two boxes. WHEW!

Even though I hurt from head to toe, it feels so good to have accomplished so much!

I'm amused at relating to how a turn in the weather can prompt quicker action on certain projects. Does that make sense?

Yep! Hopefully I'm done storing using my patio for storage. Then I won't have to worry about the weather... until I'm ready to plant a garden.

I am glad you got it all done. The feeling of satisfaction is almost compensation for the sore muscles.

Yes! It sure is. And I felt I could rest guilt free!

Don't you love it when you beat the rain.

Oh yes! And it always seems to be a race, doesn't it.

Way to go! It often takes a change in the weather to get me going on something, the next thing is weed 'n feed on the grass if we ever get any rain or snow.

Yes, it does help give that sense of urgency. Better get that Weed 'n' Feed out. You're bound to get some precipitation eventually.
