While many of you are on facebook already and know the joys of reconnecting, I just have to mention it myself. I have been in touch with cousins that I wouldn’t have talked to without facebook, and that means a TON to me. I have always felt like the outsider with my mom’s family because all the cousins grew up together and hung out... and they now have so many fun stories and inside jokes with each other which leaves me a little envious I must admit, but now I feel like I can keep up with what’s going on with their lives and it’s fun. I like it a lot.
On the other side of the family I am friends with cousins I haven’t seen since I was a baby – and no, I have no recollection of them. It’s nice as well to know their names and see faces and just to know that we are related. Also my cousin who took all those fab pics I keep showing – her and I talk A LOT now and it’s been fabulous! Another cousin on my dad’s side and I actually hung out this summer. We hadn’t seen each other in about 15 years. Love. It.
Facebook also brought together high school people. It’s been amazing how we’ve reconnected! There are no more facades and it’s all just friendly light banter like we’re old friends. I love it.
If you don’t want to consider facebook, that’s your prerogative for sure, but if you have the time I would highly recommend it. Facebook makes it soooo easy to find people you might know and its such fun!
Anywho, Happy Friday. I gotta work tomorrow but have Sunday off. I work on Monday next week as well so I can have Friday off. WAHOO! I also have a pet sit going on so I will be a little bit busy but... I can’t wait til Wednesday at 3pm when I am FREE! R is leaving me and going home for Thanksgiving, but I am going to make use of the time to CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN and organize and do Christmas cards and chillax. Ah, I can not wait...
