Today is a good day. I am truly happy.

I got my review at work. It wasn't wonderful, but it wasn't awful either. I was left with the least amount of a raise I have ever encountered, but I also realize that I am lucky to get a raise in these hard times. I also offered (and hope this comes to fruition!) to trade my measly raise for more vacation days, and said it would save the company money. Win - win? Dare to dream! :0)

I joined the APDT (an association for dog trainers) yesterday. I was approved today and went in there to see what kind of employment was brewing. Luckily I found an internship – local – that is looking for unpaid trainers to come in, learn, and hopefully become staff in time. PERFECT! I emailed them at once and I am hopeful that I will hear a response back.

R has a business conference in FL the day of our 2 year anniversary. Bummer, right? But he asked if I wanted to join him for the conference (in the middle of the week) or meet him for the weekend. Why yes! I would love to! The latter is what will end up working out. All I will need to pay for is a plane ticket to Orlando and I am good to go. Exciting times! I love vacations!
