Last night before bed I was reading one of the books I got out of the library on dog behavior. I had to laugh out loud when the author started talking about how dogs perceive us as silhouettes, and when we have a hat on or an umbrella at our backs it totally gives us a different shape, which can scare uneasy dogs (aka Kraymers).
It took me back to the time when Juan was here. He had a mask he donned for some reason (just for a minute) and Kraymer was so scared by it that he peed on the floor. Poor little dude! Then one time R was taking out the mail and the dogs, and Kraymer went running from him. We didn't know why til I looked at R and saw he had a netflix movie flopping out of his mouth as he was trying to attach the leashes.
Insect like transformations in mere seconds. That is so true if you think about it! They don't transform like we can. haha It is interesting though, the book is kinda eye opening on how dogs perceive us and what WE do versus what the dog is doing.
I love reading about the topics I am reading about, but I REALLY need to get more focused on time spent on reading. It's not like I have kids or anything to take time away. It's just the TV and my laptop (facebook, mybloggers, blogster, gmail, yahoo, Instant messenger, etc. etc. etc!). I was also thinking last night that I perhaps I was too lazy to read. How can I possibly be too lazy to read??? Reading involves laying down or sitting still with an open book. It is preposterous to call that an energetic activity...
I have noticed though that I don't like to concentrate on things, so I guess that's all it is. I like to be able to change my focus at a moments notice, whereas reading takes focus. I guess I am too lazy to focus these days??? Annoying.
Anywho - it's a Wednesday peeps. Happy transforming!!!
