This is extremely long. Wow. haha
So I had a good trip with R to FL. SB dropped me off at the airport Thursday morning – Soooo very nice of her to do!!! And then off I went. R and I met up at the airport in Orlando… I wasn’t all that psyched for some reason, I think it’s because I was already dreading coming back, but it was still a much needed vacation.
We went to a piano bar that night and actually interacted by dancing and such, which R and I usually do not do, but the piano players called you out if you didn’t. Talk about pressure! Haha BUT It was a lot of fun.
Friday was very lazy. We lounged around til about 2 in the afternoon then headed to Epcot, which was within walking distance. That was pretty cool to see. R wanted to get a beer from every country but that idea was soon squelched. It was soooo freakin hot!!! We didn’t spend too much time searching for pubs. If we found one, we went, if not we went on to the next country. It was pretty cool though and I am glad we went.
Friday night we went to the ESPN zone bar that was in our resort area. It was a decent night.
Saturday was our nothing planned day. We lounged for some time then headed out to the other resorts nearby. We were often left searching for food after every single restaurant was telling us we had to have reservations. That was pretty annoying. Then when I did find food it was all premade and they couldn’t leave out the meat. Annoying once again!
We went to downtown Disney Saturday night. It wasn’t all that impressive at all and we ended up going back to the ESPN zone bar so that R could watch the Caps game. What a great game that was!!! I was glad we watched it…
Sunday was my fave day by far. We met up with Teacherwoman from on here at Universal. She met us at Bubba Gumps – we were supposed to buy her lunch but I had totally spaced that it was Mothers Day so of course she had other plans. Oops!!! She hooked us up though and we ended up having THE BEST day!!! TW, R and I rode the hulk together which was FUN FUN FUN and her fave ride, then she left us to join up with her sons, perfectly understandable! I was glad she came out as long as she did! So after she left us R and I went on a water ride which was awesome (I forgot how gross water park water is though. Bleck! But it was so hot I didn’t really care) then we went on Spiderman. We got on the ride and R noticed everyone had these special glasses which we didn’t have. We rode the ride, thought it was awesome, then decided to do it again with the 3d glasses. MUCH BETTER! That ride was my fave of the whole park… loved it! Then we rode the hulk again and headed over to Universal. We went on the Simpson’s ride which was fun, but the line was far too long even with our special passes. I think we waited about 20 – 30 minutes – so by the time we got there it didn’t really seem worth it. WE WERE SO SPOILED with no lines that day!!! I said that to R when we were complaining about the wait. Haha
Then we went to Jaws, which was a very big waste of time, although the dude that was talking to us the whole time could be an actor, he was great! But the “ride†itself was pretty stupid. Then we went to The Mummy. That was an awesome ride as well so we went on that one twice. Kick arse. After all the rides (I may have missed a few) we went to Pat O’Briens to have some hurricanes. Man those things are potent!!! But so yummy…
Sunday night we got a bottle of wine and chilled in the room… the room was really nice and had a hot tub type bath, so we went in there are drank wine and watched TV. Pretty cool.
Monday we came back home.
I saw pictures from the trip and decided I def need to lose about 40 pounds… I just rejoined WW so wish me luck!!! I have lost a lot on there before so if I stick to it, I can do it.
Being back in reality blows for sure though. But what can ya do but dream of a time it won’t be like this… somewhere in a land far far away… haha
Oh well. Happy Wednesday peeps!
