Today Bunjii will have the stitches removed. NOTE: UPDATE FOLLOWS THIS PART.
Isn't the shirt cute? Thanks to Catdancer for the loan of his temporary wardrobe. I will keep using it for him after he is released into the rest of my house. The cats do play and the little one, Doobie, picks on Bunjii.
I may just keep him for a few more days and nights in the guest room, to make sure the incisions hold after the stitches are out.
He seems to be comfortable with being up there. I spend some time with him and he enjoys my company.

I had a difficult time taking these pics. He won't lie still. I will try some more later.UPDATE: We went to the vet. He bawled very little in his Sherpa Bag on the way. They pulled most of his stitches but at the bottom of the "cross" arm, closest to his right leg, they had to open the incision to allow a fluid buildup to escape. It was quite a lot of fluid. His body is trying to "fill" the void created by the tumor removal three weeks ago. So they re-stitched that part using several staples. They are metallic and look painful, but the doc assured me he can't feel them. I am to take him back in ten days for removal of those staples. I brought him home and let him out downstairs for a while. He was stunned. The other cats seemed to be stand-offish and he hissed at a couple of them, so I put him back in the isolated guest room. He didn't meow at all on the way home.

I delivered the cowboy hat project to the local Farm Bureau office yesterday. They gave me a restaurant (Bob Evans) gift card. Now I am on a house cleaning binge. It is humid and very warm, or I should say, hot. A cold front is on the way and we should go back to reasonable climate over the weekend.

I see some of the bitter commenting and replying that doomed Blogsterville has crept into MyBloggerstown. That's too bad. It amounts to violence. Violence is the tool of incomplete souls and immature people. The rule should be that if you don't like what someone says in a post, ignore it and move on. Another rule is if someone lays a derogatory comment on you, leave it be, and everyone will be able to read what a fool the commenter must be. That's enough. Don't let them "get your goat." Ignoring a fool is better than blowing your fuse.

Congratulations to both Spain and Germany for getting to the Euro 2008 finals. The match will be in Vienna. I can't wait!

The government cooks the figures when it posts the inflation rate. They don't include energy costs and food. Those two represent about 25 to 30 percent of an American's budget right now, and when you factor in the effects of energy on everything we purchase, the percentage is more like 50. So the real inflation rate is much higher. I have heard anything from 5 to seven percent, and one of the monitors I follow says it is actually higher. The same thing goes for the unemployment rate. It is somewhere around five percent, but they drop off people who have been unemployed for many months and don't count them. So the unemployment rate is higher.
I have an idea they cook all the numbers that make them look bad.

With inflation soaring the Fed is in a dilemma. You kill inflation by raising interest rates. But the economy, the dollar and other factors call for keeping the rates low, to generate more money into the economy. What to do? I would start raising rates soon. They threw out the baby with the bathwater when they cut rates from 5 to 2 percent in one year. It is partly the Fed's fault. The other faults? Oil prices. The exorbitant national debt created by the outflows due to the war in Iraq. Fools in the White House and on Capitol Hill who only support laws that put cash in the pockets of their cronies and campaign contributors.
We need a revolution. Thomas Jefferson was right.
