PHALEONOPSIS III -2010 - 30" x 24"

One of my favorites, it has hung in my bedroom for a couple years. I took it to the art guild for a show of my work two years ago and re-hung it right after the show closed. I'm going to miss it after it goes to its new home in Norfolk VA.

Just in time, too. I am facing an extraordinarily bad month on the budget. Taxes, insurance, and ten bloody cats.

Portraits are extremely difficult, take too much time and should go for more cash. The painters in Wash. D.C. who do official portraits of cabinet members get a minimum of 22-23k, and for portraits that are not that good. The portrait of the first lady gets around $75k. I did my portrait for the cost of a brake job.

I like it. Paint more portraits, that one on face book was lovely.
