Quincy leaps five feet to get on top of some kitchen cabinets. He loves to sit up high, the very highest point out there, and act like an owl.
"WHOOOOO- WHOOOOO."
But he always expects me to help him get down!

its the boss looking down
Certain breeds of cats - the forest ones and mountain ones in particular - supposedly have an innate desire to get up high. Most of the cats I know are of unknown parentage, but those behaviors must be in their DNA because we'll have a cat come along who just comes into them naturally. Buddy the Interstate Cat knew how to climb a ladder, and I saw something on TV that is a trait of Norwegian Forest cats.
That's a cat who takes an interest in life.
My first two, Scratch and Sniff, loved the high beam supports in my New York loft. They were master climbers. Miss them lots.
