I have been working on a new direction, going back over my painting history for inspiration. If you look at my 'OLD WORK' page on my web site,
you will notice a few old photos of food items that I painted from 1973 to 1975. I abandoned that direction when I relocated to the west coast.
Now I have picked it up again. For your information, I ate the cookie.

I try to put drama in every painting. There is drama in the crumbs, lower right. LOL

An art professor once told me that a good work of art invokes passions in the viewer that were not active until the viewer saw the art work. I think the word "passions" is a bit overboard. I like to use "reactions." Also, doing the food items again puts me back where the subjects of my paintings are subjects that nearly everyone likes or, at the least, they are very familiar with them.
