My Dad hated 'cantaloupe.' He also discovered and never let us forget that cantaloupes are not grown in the US. Here they are Muskmelons. Cantaloupes are mostly European and a different item. I never heard the last of the lectures about 'cantaloupes' until he died, and I wish I could still hear them.
When skunks invade home perimeters it means the food sources (root grubs) in their native locations are lean. Blame that on the dry conditions this year.
