Long Day ...

It was a cold ass day. It took a couple hours to de-ice the car. The worse part was the thick ice on the windshield that was 3 inches thick around the wipers. After about a half hour I got into the car, started everything up and commenced the scraping.

Once I got the wipers free and the back window melted, I then slowly back out into the alley. Took two attempts. Then I was off to Kroger's, the hardware and had a sandwich at a restaurant.

Then I went to the gallery and hung the show. 5 hours there. It is all done except for one frame that had a screwed-up hanger. I brought it home to repair and will hang it tomorrow.
Long cold day.

Congrats on your front page news story. Not enough credit went to you, but we all know it was your hard work that made the show a success, or for that matter, even possible at all.

During these winter conditions it makes hard work of every venture you have to do. Keep in your mind that Spring, is just around the corner

Trout has a good suggestion about covering your windshield. You persevered and got stuff done. Youse is a mensch.

You are a good man to get out in this bitter cold. I hope you made yourself a hot buttered rum as a reward.

You must be exhausted. I hope you've got the makings for a hot toddy drink and see if some of those cats will sit on your lap. I remember how we used to put an old bedspread on the windshield before a storm to keep the ice from forming. If it was going to be windy, and the cloth wasn't too thick I slammed it in the car doors to anchor it down. Of course that didn't help for the rear window, but it was a start.
