Hobbes ...

My 4-year old cat, Hobbes Fattytail, a.k.a. Hobbie, is having his portrait painted. It is a 12 inch square canvas. I have many photos of Hobbie but this one is the best. It shows his personality so well, as he is Mister Mellow and patient.

I took the photo of him at his waiting place, and his bowls are right around the corner of the cabinet.

When it is done it will hopefully look something like this:

Hey! I think I know you? (Hobbie is napping after gorging himself on Carnitas and cheese. After his nap I expect to see the Carnitas again. LOL)

He is so adorable. I had an orange cat years ago that my son rescued and we called him Baby Kitty because we were going to try and find a home for him. When he died he weighed about 20 lbs and was still named Baby Kitty.

The effect is mostly due to the angle of ther photo, looking down. He is also really fluffy, with deep and thick fur. But he is large.

Hobbes is a super cat. Shaped just a wee bit like a bowling ball, like our Chewy. Wish I could meet him.
