I AM IN SHOCK! What a day!
I went to Kroger to get distilled water and some bagels. On the way out of the lot I decided to stop by at T.J. WILLIE'S and wish a couple of the girls/ladies a BUON NATALE as they might be off during the week if and when I happened to stop there.
I sat at the bar and had an irish Coffee because I was near frozen. The Browns game had not started and another game was on TV. In a short time the owner, Doug Dunlap, came in at the carry-out door. I shouted a "HI," and he came in and got in the chair next to me, ordered a drink and we chatted a bit.
Then he asked if I had shopped for a new TV yet and I told him I had not. He then said...
"Well, Buddy, you no longer have to."
And he went behind the bar and brought this out.
I immediately got confused and felt like I was in shock. He told me it was mine and to shut up, literally (LOL).
I tried to say something but all I could say were uh, duh and what??? I got him up and gave him a hug, bit my tongue so hard it is still swelled (to choke off the tears that instantly clouded my eyes.)
I don't know what else I can say. I am not deserving of a Christmas so fine and memorable. I will remember this until my dead brain erases the hard drive in my frontal cortex.
