This will do it for sauces this year. Grand total? Let's see... 20 qts of the Arrabiata sauce (pasta sauce, spicy), 13 qts of chili sauce... 8 qts of this sauce... 41 quarts. I usually give away about six, so I have enough to make something every 10.42 days. That's about right.

This one is thick. I pureed everything, including the spinach and onions.

If I ate all that spicy stuff you eat, my stomach would be crying "MERCY!' Ulcer city. Have watched "Chopped" yet (Food Ch.)? What a fun show! 16 previous champions (out of 4 participants each show--64 total) have "cook-offed" down to the final four. Who will be the Grand Champion? Can't wait!

"SALSA" is the Italian word for "sauce." I don't make Mexican "Salsa," which is a condiment. Most of my sauce labels have Italian titles, therefore, "Salsa..."

Also, I make the sauce for my own consumption and pass a few on to a relative, a restaurant manager and a few good friends here. It is canned in heavy glass quart jars and does not travel well or ship without serious consequences to the jar and contents (I say this from experience. I have mailed two well-padded jars. One was broken and the other was either stolen or lost.)

Sounds lovely. I do that too, figure out how many days I can go between making something before it's all used up, usually with frozen pie cherries.

yum!!!! Sounds like something I would use not only as pasta sauce but as salsa for just about anything else....bet it would be lovely smothered on wiener schnitzels!!!

Chipotle crusted pork tenderloin tonight. Done on the grill, with roasted ears of corn - always grilled in the husks.
