And I think I spent too much.

Last year I had more cash and spent about three times as much. I got the gift card for my cousins who invited me and Mom to dinner on Christmas day. I didn't send cards (I quit doing that in 2003.)

Nothing charged, either.

This morning (Sunday) the wind is ferocious again. We have had lots of strong wind this December. The gusts are over 55 mph, and the sustained wind is around 25 to 30 mph. Garbage and Christmas trash is flying down toward the river. Some people put out their Monday trash already and left the lids to the bins open. DUH!

Today are the final NFL regular season games. Yay. And I love the NFL. Go figure.

Spring Training is less than six weeks away. YAY!

I am pondering whether or not to pick up my Mom for brunch today. The wind may toss a spanner into that plan. Last week it was ice and sub-zero cold that kept it from happening. If I don't take her today she may call a cab and try it by herself (only joking! My Mom forgot how to dial a phone.)

If I see one more "The Year 2008 in Review" on TV I am going to unplug the damn thing! What a horrible year. Who wants to see it all again?

I called yesterday's 'date' to tell her how much I appreciated spending the day with her. She suggested I go over to her place for dinner some evening next weekend. My stars! She cooks!
