So it's another Christmas for the books. The cats were delighted and furiously got into their bags. By the time I had taken a dozen or more photos, they were all pretty much catnipped and crazy. One of them managed to spread torn paper into every room. Hobbes was happy that Santa brought so many tiny play mice. Satchel, the elder, played a little then sat back to watch the young ones have their fun. Rosie got a snoot full of nip and began to play in the paper wrappings. Hobbie wanted to join in but Rosie put her ears back and spewed spit at him. I never saw her do that before. Doobie was the craziest. He is a total catnip freak and played for hours. Bunjii didn't want to participate, so I took his bag to him in the kitchen and he took everything out of it.
I took my mother from her care center at 10 in the morning. She opened her presents here first, then we let the cats go at theirs. What a hoot! I drove to a cousin's home a few miles away where we enjoyed a dinner in the early afternoon. My cake was a big hit! Mom got to see some relatives she hadn't seen in thirty years.
Afterward, we went to an uncle's home for a while. Then we went back to Autumnwood and Mom was exhausted. He back wears out quickly.
I came home, took a short nap, picked up the wrapping paper and watched TV. The cats were too tired to play any more.
Bisbee got a new wind-up water globe music box, as in every one of his Christmases. We played it last night up in the bedroom before I turned out the lights. He likes it. It is an angel of many colors with a brass base.
A good Christmas. Lean, but good.
PS: Hobbie already published some of our photos on his blog.
