We were shopping in Walmart yesterday when the cashier mentioned the lack of Christmas music over the store's speakers. Donna had witnessed rather rowdy behavior from a cranky old broad (older than us) and suggested that music of the season might have put the woman in a better mood. So I figured I'd look into the situation.
I just called the store where we had shopped and was told that they had been playing Christmas music but stopped because they received complaints! Huh? Are we in Israel or Muslim Africa? I'm not a Christian, but get real!! Christmas is a cultural thing in this country, and even folks like myself can enjoy the nature of the season!
The nice lady from customer service seemed to be pro-music and said she'd pass my comment along to management! Maybe it's time to start sending email to what she called the "home office". It seems to be a company policy and not something decided by the manager of the local store!
