Christmas Upstate (Not What You Think)

No, it's not the typical Christmas greeting. It's what I was doing all afternoon. The only odd thing is that it was 66 degrees.

Merry Christmas.

From the opening shot I got worried---I thought you were going to say that the old fat man with a white beard and hangs out with the reindeer was not coming here and I've been waiting patiently (plus don't forget I was good all year round!) Then I saw the red shorts--OH! NO! It was warm up there!

Okay how do you do this Click for Video ???

Interesting that you say playing with reindeer instead of playing with elves. I should think elves are much more fun. Anyway, I'll do a post on how to do that link. It's so simple even a geezer can do it.

Yes, what I would have thought was a Grandma Moses type snow scene.

I enjoyed the wood splitting demo, showed it to Mr. Troutbend, marked it Like as a Christmas present to you. There is/was an abandoned tire along the highway on the way to our post office. If it doesn't have a wheel in it, I will take it home for this. Hard to believe it's so warm and dry there in the upstate. Colorado's getting whacked while I'm here in Las Vegas: 2 inches the other day, more snow on Christmas Day. I'll bet it's pretty, but less work to not have to deal with it. Best holiday wishes.

Fortunately it's not dry here. Actually, without plants to suck it up, it's very wet. "Wet not White" as we say around here. Looks like it will be cooling off with a wintery mix for a few days next week. But what there will be of winter will be over in no time!
