Ok, so there's a bit more to it. It's also the day when I met Donna in person for the first time. The date was actually for Chinese food, but we stopped off at the hospital on the way to the restaurant for a minor procedure.
When you think about it, it's actually a good way to get through the awkward first-date stuff rather quickly. It had it's moments, tho. We told some of the staff what was going on and they thought it was wonderful (Ok, that's what they said to us), but when the person came in to wheel me away and said something about giving us time for the "huggy-kissy stuff", Donna told her that a handshake would do since we just met! LOL
Not only does this arrangement take the stress off the first date, but it turned out to be a wonderful distraction from the medical stuff. We had to go for a PPD screening on Tuesday when it was offered, and a reading yesterday (both negative), so we missed that one by one day! A negative PPD--what better way to celebrate a second anniversary?
My Princess is still sleeping, so I'll leave her flowers here... I should be out in the sunshine working by the time she gets up! Finals week at her college, ya know....
Here's yer roses, sweetie, Happy Anniversary!
