Ok, folks. At Jeri's request and with an apologetic tone, I begin my first post in who knows how long.
If a picture is worth a thousand words...
This was taken during our last cruise in early 2016. I love my girls, all four of them. We are getting a boy around April 21st. Jennifer is at the miserable stage with two months to go. We've got two months to potty train Nadia!
I've been to see Ted and Jeri and got to meet Jose. He keeps Rex's life interesting.
We're still pastoring a small church in Southwest Oklahoma City and have finally opened a service time on Tuesdays for the Spanish-speaking people in that area. We're also still selling Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug plans as well as life insurance. Our calendar gets very full some months.
Guess who we ran into in Illinois this month?
Kirk Cameron.
I'm a big fan for his work with Ray Comfort in the area of apologetics and his role in the movie Fireproof about a marriage rescued from the brink of divorce.
Well, I've blathered on enough. I have some interesting posts I might share later about a project I'm involved in. I'll wait until I've successfully completed before posting.
Oh, one more thing. I went to Austin a couple of weeks ago to attend a one-day seminar about Celebrate Recover. It's a program originally designed to treat alcoholism, but has morphed into a program of support for all kinds of people with Hurts, Habits and Hangups. Started over 25 years ago and has had 4 million participants. It might be adequately described as AA with a Christ-centered approach. It was exhilirating to stand with hundreds of people celebrating their own unique recoveries and see the joy and freedom in their faces as they sang and worshipped and learned more about the program. We are considering bringing it to our church since we work in such a needy area.
Hasta luego.
