Honeymoon Conundrum

I am at a loss choosing a location for our honeymoon. Clueless. I like San Antonio. I only remember it from a childhood vacation on the Riverwalk, but for the life of me, I can only remember the delicious Mexican food.
I'm open to ideas as long as they include some place warm; as the wedding will be on December 13th. Obviously, north, northeast and northwest U.S. are out of the question. Foreign countries, however, are not. Cheaper is better as long as it's nice.
We'll be driving/flying from West Virginia.
Anyone fairly familiar with the Riverwalk? Ideas? Help me, my MyBloggers friends. I haven't lived in the States for so long, I cannot remember what is nice there.
Thanks for stopping by!

Mary Ellen and I just had a WONDERFUL time in Cozumel! GREAT food, wonderful people and WARMTH!!!!!!! Although we spent a great deal of our time scuba diving, there is plenty to do there other than that, and plenty of NOTHING to do, if you are so inclined!

I would suggest a place at the beach - probably Cancun or on the Pacific coast. The pacific water is always cold, but they do have nice pools. You might want to spend a day or two in Merida - go to the pyramids and then on to Cancun or one of the other beaches near there.

A lot of people here in Hawaii get married on the beach. They are beautiful weddings! If you can, perhaps you might want to consider a wedding on the beach.

San Antonio is great and you have the river walk, the Mexican market, the Alamo and historic churches. Have you thought about a cruise...they are romantic and quite a bargain?

Thanx!! I saw that in one of the package deals I was researching this morning. I'm going to give it some serious thought. Beaches!! I like that.

San Diego. La Jolla (nearby). And Mexico is just a trolley car ride from downtown San Diego, so you could also pay a day-trip visit to Tijuana. Great weather, the ocean and beaches, and plenty of Mex food if that's important.
