Daylight Savings??

This resonated with me! I like it.

I haven't posted much lately. There are lots of reasons. Mostly, I've been extremely busy, but not too busy to read your posts and some comments.
I'm itching (as is Jeri) to get my hands (and knees) dirty in the garden. Some friends came over and tilled an area twice as big as last year's garden. Bless them. We bought seeds a few days ago and realized some of the items should have been plants. We're going to try our luck regardless. On the exotic side, we also bought a thornless blackberry bush and a seedless grape vine. I think it will work.
Went to county jail tonight to visit a man and was asked to visit with another couple's son before I left. Putting in paperwork to become a regular chaplain there. I wouldn't believe in "jailhouse religion" if I hadn't seen a couple of genuine cases down through the years.
Well, since we're all getting up a little earlier in the next few days, I think I'll start getting ready for bed.

Yes, we've got our seeds started out in Las Vegas where that hot desert sun makes the plants shoot up, then I drive them to Colorado and there's less sun, so they slow down. Last year I planted the zucchini too early, and they almost had fruit on them before I got them planted outside. This may not be my first rodeo, but I'm not claiming to be good at it yet.

I don't see the need for it (dst) but it doesn't rock my world. I am glad
you are going out to the jails. Those guys need all the help they can get.
I am buying some good garden soil this week!

That extra hour or two at night when you can get out and do things--let's face it--mornings are for sleeping, working, school, errands, doctor visits, etal---they can be done in the dark!

Yeah, I've missed your posts. I check regularly. I've busted some sod recently, but it's still too early to plant anything. Garlic is up, though!
DST? No big deal. There are bigger things to be concerned with.

I sleep late in the mornings and prefer my daylight hours in the evening. Also, DH and I can go for walks after dinner.

DST does have it's advantages, no doubt. It's neat that you enjoy walking together. These days that's rare. BTW, the spinning wheel is looking great. Wouldn't mind watching you "ply" your trade sometime.

It should be an interesting growing season this year, so warm and spring-like here already, I'm itching to start on my own garden, and our last frost date isn't until the end of May!

You could start your plants indoors in those biodegradable starters. Then they'll be ready for transplant and a few steps ahead in the game when the frost leaves. I'm doing a few of the more delicate veggies that way.

I LOVE DST---I wish it were 12 months a year!!!

Seriously? Why do you like it so much?
