I have been surfin' the WWW again! I often do this in the odd moment I actually get to sit and splurge some time to myself. I will put in a random topic in the google search box (often something I have been thinking of or read about that day). Today I choose "nappy cake". Sounds appealing, I think NOT! But, it is a brilliant way to gift items for a new arrival.
There are several sites that you can order them from ready made - but they are really pricey and a bit impersonal to say the least. So I have come across a site with the "recipe" for a beautiful cake, choc-full of little treats and essentials for the baby.
My best mate is expecting her third child in March so I think I will try and make one for her. I have plenty of time to practice and no doubt cock it up in the process. If it all goes wrong and can always chuck the bits in a basket and tie a bonnie ribbon round it and say it is a "hamper".
