As of 12pm, tomorrow, the boys are officially on holiday from school and nursery till 5th January. I don't get why they are breaking off so early often they are still there till the 23rd or 24th. I means I have to try and organise the house and food for Christmas dinner with three hyper kids climbing the walls. It is not even looking like I will be able to get them outside much (without them moaning) as the weather forecast is not great.
There is gonna be tears, probably mine! Either that my recycling box will be crammed full of empty vino bottles. That will be just from me trying to get through Christmas with my MIL. (Good news there - she has laringytis and cannot speak - ok so that is a week sooner than I would have liked but I can hope her voice has still gone by next week).
I think I am almost organised though for next week. The presents are bought, most are wrapped, menu organised (although need to do a trial run of my starter - smoked salmon on potato pancakes with creme fraiche and dill dip) and beer in the fridge. Just a couple of little bits to get and finalise my online grocer delivery so that I don't actually have to go into any supermarket during Christmas week - folk here seem to fear the shops are shut for days and panic buy!!
I will just have to watch and not drink too much as we are off to my mother's on Boxing Day for another meal. A hangover and my rellies is almost a worse thought than Christmas Day with my outlaws.
