I am so pleased for you, Mary your new house sounds brilliant. It is all too easy to slump into a pit of doom and gloom when life seems to put the boot in. But evetything always happens for a reason and the resulting outcome is usually better than before.
YOu look so happy and chilled in that photo - Fingers crossed on the phone call
Mary, sorry to hear your news, I have been so busy here that I haven't been around as much as I would like and so have missed alot of goings on. All my love to you and yours.
It is better out than in - bet you feel better after a virtual rant!! Roll on the weekend - I know ya luv 'em
Don't get me started on cars and the bits that go wrong with them. Cars have so many gadgets now-a-days (even the starter models) that everything costs a friggin lot to fix. Our electronic dash is playing up and we thought the car was dieing - were told £600 for a new dash - we can live with it blanking out and resetting every week or so. We can't even change the headlight bulbs ourselves - the mechanics virtaully have to take the wing off to do it!! Damn you renualt and all the hard to reach licence to print money bits n bobs!
Hope your MIL heals quick and feels better soon as I guess she was in alot of discomfort if not pain.
I used to have a beat up old car too - used to have to park on a hill just incase she wouldn't start and needed a bump start. Also had to be ready to use the choke after coming off a motor way - she just couldn't handle the drop in petrol getting into her bits!!
Things are always way tastier before you read the ingredients!! I now label read everything I buy...more because my daughter is allergic to dairy, wheat and eggs than anything else but it is good practice to get into anyway. Do you eat dairy? I could send you a lush lemon and lime cheesecake recipie (when I get it) to help fill the muffin gap - not so fat free though!
Hope you have a great holiday, Mary. Can't wait to hear all the news of your trip.
Oh the holidays are always great. They are never long enough. Just back from one and dreamin' about the next. Roll on retirement or a lotto win!! Then it can be holiday season everyday....Then I would moan about not working
Maybe the baby didn't want you to reveal the secret!! Devine intervention
Roll on the weekend
I love your bag. Over here there is a big campaign to reduce the number of plastic carriers issued at checkouts and many supermarkets have promotions where they give away their reusable material ones. I have several but it is often the case that I forget to take mine into the store but instead of using the "anymore than a loaf of bread and I'll break" bag I buy the reusable one at the till. This results in a large collection. I am now carrying some under my pram too so that even the small grocery run doesn't need a carrier!
I miss work for those little insights into the lives of others!
Words don't change the loss you feel but you are in my thoughts. Everyone deals with loss in different ways and for some having access to blog is a way to speak without a word passing your lips. I am sure I will be echoed in saying we are here for you if and when you feel ready to visit mybloggerstown.
