I have had this annoying rough bit just above my gum for a couple of weeks now. It was always catching my tongue. Then today, mid scone, I felt a crunchy bit. This crunchy bit was not a burnt currant, which is so often the case with my baking, but a bit of my filling.

I thought all my dental problems were behind me but I guess the neglect that my teeth suffered during my teenage years is starting to rear it's ugly head.

I am waiting on the pain. I am sure it will kick in soon, it is bound to. Getting to a dentist to fix it is no mean feat here either. My dentist work between two practices and I also have several appointments with the kids this week so finding a time to suit is not going to be easy.

The frustrating thing is that I wasn't eating anything that you would have thought would pull a filling out but I guess it just goes to show you that these little suckers are not always there to stay!

Another bummer about this is that my free dental certificate ran out at the end of January so heaven knows what it will cost!

I guess that it is the price I have to pay for not looking after my teeth properly when I was younger. I''l just have to grin and bear it!
