So far today I have gotten up, showered and dressed. Managed to get breakfast in peace before I then had to drag my kids reluctantly out of bed. There is always the protests of "I'm still sleepy" and my reply is .... "if you had gone to sleep when you were told to instead of trying to be batman and jump from your bed till 9pm you wouldn't be sleepy!". Once I got them up there is then the moans that they don't like the same cereal that they ate yesterday!! Well tough there is nothing else - need to do an online shop later today.
Breakfast over and then it is upstairs for teeth brushing and face cleaning. This always ends in a disaster. Not so much today mind though but still not as smooth a procedure as I strive for. Downstairs once again to get dressed. Someone always moans about the pants I have laid out for them - well if they got their own instead of moaning about it my task would be far easier.
Now dressed and ready (early for once) we all decide to walk, even F (who is normally in the pram for easiness). All was going well until L reminded me that he had a health visitor appointment. Carp! Back to the house for the pram - we had just lost our faffing around time allowance. Never mind, it just means I had to leave J in his class line and go straight to the surgery.
We got there in plenty of time - in fact we were taken 15 minutes late as there was a discrepancy in the MMR vaccine stock which meant there was only one to go round 20 children!! Luckily L was first in line so it saved us a return visit for that. Just as well as he was a nightmare - I had tried to prep him for it but he's only 3 and well needles are not great at the best of times.
I am now back home having a much needed coffee and fielding the many requests for food. My answer is always "NO" but F keeps producing things from what I can only guess is a secret stash where she poses opened food she has been given in the past - I tell you there is an endless supply. Â I am off to follow her and see where he cache of illegal food stuffs is.
