It has once again been ages since I last blogged. I try and something ALWAYS seem to happen to prevent either the time to do so or I have to fight with DH to get to the laptop!! So, basically if I don not get on before he gets home from work I have a snowballs chance in hell of getting near it after 6pm!!
Not a lot has been going on other than the usual Avon chaos and hospital appointments with the kids. My Grandparents celebrated their Diamond Wedding anniversary at the weekend which was fine and miracuously my mother managed not to turn it into the normal circus that she manages to create at these things. They even received a hand signed telegram from the Queen which was rather cool. We also had my sister's ex-boyfriend round for beer and pizza on Friday. As there is no animosity between them we figured we have to try and keep in touch with him as he has been around for all of the kids' lives and he is Godfather to my middle child. It was great to catch up with him and now that I think the first visit is over he will feel more comfortable to just popped round in the future.
In other stuff, my best mate has just announced that she is expecting her third child, which is fantastic news. DH thinks we need to get jiggy again to stay one ahead of the game. I figure we can sit with the scores level for some time yet!! She has also just had a promotion at work so it is good to know that if you are great at your job you can still climb up the ladder and have a family. She actually told the interviewers the day before the interview that she was pregnant.
And finally, although I haven't seen or read anything on this today (just what I heard on the radio as I was trying to raise myself out of my bed this morning) I have to say I am delighted at the outcome of the US elections. Although I haven't been following closely, anything I had seen of Barock Obama seems very positive. I hope that we can all move forward now and put all the terrible events of past years behind us.
