We went via the carpet showroom we saw the Karndean flooring we were fancing for the hall. En-route we passed one of theri vans and DH said "We have to go and see them the van is a sign!". *what a load of....!* Maybe not!
Anyway into the showroom we had another look at the floor and the spaghetti rug in burnt orange. They are the business. We fell in with the owner and DH started to haggle - I never know where to look or how to look when he does it. I am glad he does but I never know where he wants me to smile and nod or shake my head to try another stab at lowering the price. We were quoted £565 for the flooring and £260 for the rug. He was tring to get all in for between £700-£750. We got £60 off the rug £15 off the floor  - due to our floor boards we need twice the work done as oppossed to if it had been just chip board - so we didn't want to push our luck but he did throw in a special floor cleaning kit worth £35 aswell - I hope it last ages because at £35 they are kinda taking the P!
Deal done we then had to see when we could have it fitted. He went off to get the diary just as a call came in to pospone a job which had the same floor ordered for tomorrow (today as I write this). Thinking about the work we had to do at home, ie move furniture and rip up the laminate that was there already DH said let's do it and get it done.  "Help ma Boab, I get my new rug and floor TODAY!"
Can you tell I'm excited? The things that get me excited theses days - man I know how to live!! LOL
