Oh well that is the end of our 2 days of non stop partying! The kids and I have rocked out for two whole days - well when the cat's away an' all that!! LOL
First we had the movie and popcorn whilst all cosied up on the couch. Then there came the dancing - although with young kids (boys esp) it ended up with them tearing back and forth then jumping on the couch. That game had to end sharpish before I had to trapse them all to A & E - AGAIN!!
Today will be the chance for me to return things to normal. A quick hoover, and to empty the laudry basket. I dread to think the amount of washing DH will have when he gets back. Check this, he was only away for 2 days and 2 nights. The course was smart casual. So he took.....
2 pairs of trousers
1 pair of combat shorts
1 pair of jeans (he was wearing those)
3 T-shirts
2 Polo tops
1 Jumper
1 Fleece hoodie
Underwear
I know for a fact he won't have worn half of it. That list is minus the 2 t-shirts and polo top I managed to persuade him that he wasn't needing. But it will all need rewashing (worn or not) because his packing skills are carp so things will just be stuffed in with his dirty great Timberland boots shoved on top!
It will be great to have him home again. We are so lucky that he doesn't have to work away often. When he is just 2 hours away is easier to deal with for two days than when he was in the States for 5 days last year.
We even had a good night last night. L actually put his jammies on and asked to go to bed at 6.10. J and I then cuddled up on the sofa to watch a couple of wildlife shows aimed at kids. He then happily went to bed at 7.30. The baby is always a different story but even she wasn't too bad. She has various food intollerances and I now have a formula as such to try her on so hopefully that will help her bed time routine.
Better go and get dressed before I start the clean up operation!
TGIF!
