My Vacation in Canada Part 1

I have been home now for 24 hours and finally have the energy to blog about my holiday, it was earlier this year that Adrian and his sister decided they wanted to go visit Cuba, I don't like beach holidays nor do I like visiting all inclusive concrete resorts so I decided to be bold and ask one of our fellow MyBloggers members if I could visit her you all know here as nittineedles, within minutes of the request I had a reply saying that she needed to check with DH and she would let me know the next day I got a message saying it was ok to visit so off I went and booked my flight.

My holiday begins at Heathrow airport on 12th November....

The first ever 747 I have seen.

My flight was 15 hours including the time difference and the 2 hour delay and I flew via Toronto when I finally arrived I stayed the night in a "motel" or flea pit as I now refer to it lol

But the bed was clean and the shower was amazing and it was only one night plus I was to tired to argue with the Indian manager

The next day I borded the ferry in Tsawwassen for the 2 hour journey to Vancouver Island and to meet nittineedles

The ferrys are great loads of places to sit and knit good food and lots of hot coffee and best of all giant cinnamon buns served still warn from the oven, as we approached the island I got more and more nervous about meeting someone I had never met and being nervous and sea sick is not a good feeling, but I had nothing to worry about Marg and DH were waiting for me in the arrivals part of the terminal and greeted me as if I was an old friend they had known for years.

To be Continued.....................

Isn't that something, air and sea to get there. Too bad there aren't flights that go over the north pole to get from Vancouver to Heathrow. Didn't there used to be?

Wow! That is some ferry, the hot chocolate and warm cinnamon buns sounds yummy. I have loved reading about your visit from Marge's point of view; it will be fun to read about the visit from your point of view. Looking forward to the next post.
