Time for an Update.

I must admit im very lazy when it comes to writing anything on here but really my life is just not that interesting. Let me see whats happened that I can tell you about, well last december I moved into my own place which has been an absolute nightmare I managed to get all the decorating done and the place was reasonably comfortable when the local council decided I need a new kitchen, bathroom, full rewire and all the plumbing needed to be ripped out and replaced as you can imagine I was not very happy about having to take down all the wallpaper I had just put up but whos going to argue its all being done for free yay. I am still knitting and I have recently got the hang of beaded knitting and im in the process of knitting a teal coloured bolero with green glass beads in a king charles brocade pattern. I have taken up weaving and I have bought myself a spears loom size 4 ridged heddle now I just need to work out how to use it lol. My beloved guinea pig Ezmeralda went to heaven after a short illness which I didnt manage to catch in time to treat :*-( I went to visit my mother in greece in may for her birthday it was a really nice holiday but now im ready for another one. I have had to give up work completly now due to my arthritis becoming so bad I can no longer stand for long periods of time let alone walk the arthritis in my back has caused me to have a trapped sciatic nerve meaning no matter what I do I simply cannot get comfortable weather that be in bed or standing. I have given up all hope of learning to spin so I have sold my spnning wheel and the money is going towards my new sewing machine I am hoping to purchase the new Singer Futura CE-250 which is a sewing/embroydery machine its all very technical. I recently discovered a different kind of sewing machine it is for people who felt and the machine does not sew but it felts its quite amazing and it must save so much time. I have taken up quilting and I am half way through my first quilt which is not turning out quite how i wanted but it is still a working progress. The weather here has been rather bland this summer and we think it is going to be a cold winter but I like the cold and my new centeral heating will come in handy.

Well thats pretty much everything that has happened and your all up to date again im sorry its such a long post and I promise I will try not to let it get so long before I post again.

Michael.

P.S sorry if I have made any spelling mistakes its late and im tired lol.

and I thought I was having a bad year health wise. New hobbies are good. That felting machine sounds interesting. Has Adrian's mum come to visit you two yet?

Im learning to live with the bad health although it is taking some time and im currently struggling with insomnia i hope that how you spell it. The felting machine looks just like an ordinary sewing machine but instead of having 1 needle it has several I dont have any plans to buy one but it just looked interesting. Adrians mum has been to visit once but me and Adrian are living apart and have been since december he has remained with his mother because his fathers health has got worse and it is to much for his mum to sope with alone and I totally understand this arrangment I would do the same for any of my family.

It sounds like quite a lot has happened since we last heard from you! Machine embroidery is quite the thing in some circles here, a very engrossing hobby, from what I've seen, but I wonder if those people I knew who were so taken up with it have since moved on. If you buy that machine, you can use it to embroider fancy stitching between the blocks of a beautiful crazy quilt.

The good thing about the machine i want to get is that it links to the computer so the designs are literally endless i hope i never have to buy another one again i must admit i get totally mezmerised watching these machines lol
