Weekend Chat

It has been 5 day ago already since I posted. I feel ashamed, I really do. I could give an explanation off course...lets see.... well school started again so....
Well seriously: working again makes life a bit busier and I didnt had time to write (already was happy to keep on reading all your blogs).
What happened last days? Actually a lot did happen.
Because I actually still was off from work I decided to have a "short Friday" and left school round 1 pm. It was time to get a haircut so I would look decent again when school really starts. Addicted as I am I felt the need to surf a little on internet as well. Once I logged in at yahoo I noticed my good friend D (Shirkan) was online. It always is a pleasure chatting with him so we did for a while. I think I said it earlier but he was my first e-friend ever and that makes him special ( and be sure its a special one! lol).
It was really necessary to do some cleaning in the house so Saturday morning...... I was completely ready for it again. Oh I always love vacuum-cleaning and cleaning up the bathroom and so ( wish I could do it daily lol lol lol) Because my son was going to celebrate his 25th birthday on Saturday night there was some shopping to do as well. He would be able to do that himself off course, but he had a good excuse: he had to play a soccer game, so.... dad and mum would do it.
Saturday night was nice. Lot of friends and relatives to talk with. I really enjoyed that.
For Sunday we had planned a little too much. Cause of the "the day after the night before"-feeling Sunday morning started a bit slower then planned. There was a lot of gardening to do, so, in the fresh air, with sun on my head I spent 2 nice hours. After that I had scheduled to fill in the taxes for my father-in-law. While doing that I noticed I received a very nice mail from a friend from "mybloggersland". I really appreciated that mail cause of the trust that was in that mail. For me it always feels a bit strange to chat/email with persons who are a lot younger then me and it makes me feel fine that age isn't important to a lot of people here.

Last weekend we had a festival here in town. Its an event which takes place every year. Dutch popular artists perform 4 nights in open air. The Sunday afternoon always is reserved as "amsterdam-afternoon". Artists singing typical dutch popular songs. There were about 3000 people there and a lot of them sang along (including myself). Popular songs from Dutch artists from the past till present.
Problem with these events is that its easy to drink a bit too much ( No I didnt, but a lot of people did).

Here a video (youtube) from a dutch duo in the early 80's. They look rather dull but they were quite popular then, even represented our country at the eurovision song contest once):

And then it was Monday. We were invited to arrive at school at 8 AM, so that was rather early. My manager had arranged a breakfast for our whole "unit" so it was a nice start of the new schoolyear with about 200 colleagues. My voice was a bit rough cause of the sunday-afternoon singing, but approved a lot during the day.

Well thats all for now, I dont want to bore you more today.

TC!

Well with son being 25 I guess you will have to stop telling people you are 40!!
