Nature's Wonders

Good Evenink, MyBloggerstown:

Well here I sit looking out of my window high atop(well near the top) of the Shady Pines Senior Complex. It is twilight now....almost dark but not quite.  I can still see the white puffy clouds and the dark thunderheads in the distance. Where they meet I can see lightning flashes within the clouds themselves. Its highly remeniscent of the scenes in "Close Encounters" where the skys light up just before the alien ships appear.  I have never seen this occur live and in person and it is amazing.  You don't 'aspose there is an invas....nah.  I watch too many movies.
Went over to Crazy Sis's and Mama's house and played poker.  Sis seemed extrodinarily lucky. I think she sat up all night marking the cards("here, let's play with THIS deck").   Ah, well....that's why they call it gambling I guess.
Otherwise, its fairly quiet here in Cow Snot.  Except for the big controversy brewing about the public transit system.  The Cow Snot public bus system is fine the way it is now but the brain dead moron who runs it is proposing changes that will adversely effect most seniors and handicapped who use the system.  Now, the buses pull right up in front of Wally World, Tarzay, the Mall etc. to unload/pick up passengers.  Under the new proposal, the buses will stop on the main drag and passengers will have to hoof it a conciderable distance across the length of the parking lot to the to their destination.  Now, just how brittle boned seniors and those of us with mobility issues are gonna manage that is anyone's guess.  Especially in the winter time.  Most citizens here at Shady Pines are up in arms.  Especially the ones who don't have  wheels...like moi.  Hopefully, the jackass will get enough complaints, recriminations, and vile epithets to change his mind.  Its just sad.
I got a suprise in the mail the other day.  A thank you note from Lulubelle's oldest, Damien.  I baby sat him and his sister Wednesday a coupla weeks ago and we went out to the park and then Micky D's for lunch. He thanked me for the wonderful time and for taking them out.  It was so sweet. He wrote  it himself in big block letters and I was so impressed.  I wrote him a letter back indicating that he was most welcome and that I enjoyed myself as well.  Kids can really surprise you sometimes.
So, that's about it.  Have a good weekend everyone.
