Well, the furnace guy was 'asposed to show up today but did not. I was here all day and never saw him. Of course he could have just gone into the basement, did his thing and left but I never saw a repair truck. And wouldn't he have come up to make sure the thermostat worked like it should? I hope Cletus and Maybelleen didn't pay him in advance. If he doesn't show up tommorow I'll call them and let them know. I have heat at least so its not a life or death thing. I just shudder at the thought of what my electric bill is gonna be if the thing isn't fixed.

The flu is making the rounds of my fam damily. Jethrene and Jethro had it last week now Daisy May is ill. Crazy Sis is minding them and she sounds like she's coming down with it. Well, 'tis the season. I hope they get well soon. Those poor babies seem to catch every germ that comes along.

Watching the national news. I sure do hope the McCain bandwagon has some sturdy springs so that it doesn't collapse from the weight of all those pacyderms piling on. Looks like Dubya's bubba Jebby has joined the chorus. Personally, I think Jebby has more brains than Dubya but then again so does that two week old head of lettuce in my fridge. Well, it will be all for naught when yer own Bugg stands before the nation in January aught nine and takes the oath. I really must get to work on my inauguration speech soon. Never can be too prepared.
