         Sorry I haven't graced the hallowed pages recently. Over the last few days we've been in a turmoil. Mama has taken ill and is in the hospital. A number of things have landed on her all at once. Her diabetes has gone haywire, her heart is having the same problems that mine has and her kidneys are acting up. Mama was always more or less the picture of health, save for age and sugar, and this all came as a shock to us. The doctor sez this has probably been coming on for some time. What I wanna know is why the doctors, whose care she was under, didn't catch any of this in her regular examinations.  It's bizzare to say the least. But when last I saw her(yesterday afternoon) she was improving....sitting up, improved appetite and complaining about nurses waking her up to take blood, temp, blood pressure etc. All good signs. She'll have some lifestyle changes when she gets out....carb restricted diet, insulin shots, maybe oxygen. But we're all gonna stay on top of her and make sure she does what the doctor's tell her. Cow Snot Regional Medical Center is a great hospital. It's all state of the art and computerised. Mama has a room all to herself and it has a teriffic view. The staff is wonderful, from the doctors on down to the ladies who clean up. They've all been really nice to Mama and we are grateful.
    Well, its been a hectic few days but I wanted to let all of you, my dear blog pals, know was was afoot. I'm gonna go see if I can't sleep now.
