Good Evening, MyBloggerstown:
We got a new tenent for one of the empty 4th floor apartments and he's causing quite a stir here at Shady Pines.
The guy's name is Buzz. He's not a day over sixty, walks with a walker but that's just from some physical therapy he had recently. He's well built, has Scandanavian good looks and is a charmer. You can almost see this guy shooshing down out of the Alps, yodeling, coming to wisk you away to a chalet, some brandy, a roaring fire and a bear skin rug. (bugg with mouth hanging open, drooling)
And everyone who still has a pulse is absolutely potty over him. It's ridiculous. All these old dames creaming their jeans over this guy. They are all acting like a bunch of giggly, dopey high school girls instead of the dignified, mature mothers and grandmothers they are. Never catch ME acting like that.(see above paragraph) Ah, well I guess you can't blame them, really. He's the first live man under 70 most of them have seen in many a year. And I think he'll be a welcome relief in that aspect. We are trying to get him to join our nightly card game so he'll feel at home. Anything to make a new tenent feel welcome, I always say.
In other news, I had to go to the emergency room last Sunday. The ticker was giving me fits so I went in, even though I hated to. They hooked me up to the monitors, gave me an EKG and and IV with some medicine that calmed my racing heart down (This was BEFORE Buzz moved in so all of you git yer mind out the gutter). They sent me home about 2am. Suffering came and took me and stayed there the whole time. They took blood and discovered my blood sugar quite elevated (211 which I unnerstand is quite bad). I had had a ham sammich shortly before the crisis so that could have been a contributory factor in the elevated sugar count. Everything has been ok since, except for my being more fatigued than usual. Simple tasks seem to wear my out more than normal. I have an appointment with Dr. Tightass next week so mebee he can get to the bottom of it....no pun intended. tee hee hee.
Otherwise, all goes on. Jethro had his birthday and got tons of loot. When asked how old he is he sez "four" but holds up two fingers. Now how cute is that?
