Howdy, Blog Pals:
Well, my visit with Dr. Amadouchebag went ok. They have ruled out leukemia, thank God. I was sooo relieved. The doctor said that the test they do for that is 95% acurate. I almost fainted from relief. But....they still don't know what is causing my elevated white count. So they took still more blood for another test. The doctor ask the same questions as last time and then hauled my ass up on the exam table and prodded some more.
Me(when the doctor poked my stomach): "yeeouch!!"
Dr. Amadouchebag(in voice of Bin Ladin): "Why does that hurt, infidel?"
Me(answer#1): "Because you poked it?"
(answer#2): "Yer the friggin' doctor....YOU tell ME why it hurts."
He went on to say that there is another desease of the bone marrow and that's what they'll be testing for next. But it's not cancer so I guess I lucked out there. I am due to return on the Monday after I get back from West By God with Mama and Crazy Sis. I may reschedule, depending on how tired I am after THAT cross-country hootnanny. I am not looking forward to that but its the only way I can assure that all my furniture, books, papers, and other valued treasures will get here in their entirity. If Crazy Sis were left to her own devices, Lord knows what she'd throw out.("She doesn't need these pictures of Vernon[the late Mr. Bugg]. She remembers what he looked like.") I'm not taking any chances.
Otherwise, all is ok here in Cow Snot. Spring has finally sprung. There are a lot of lilacs here and as I drive along I get the most wonderful whiffs and harken back to the Flower City by the Lake , where I'm told the Lilac Festival was held last week. And it actually didn't snow for a change ...har har. I sure do miss that little slice of hell on earth. Ah, well...the world turns. And it usually rolls over on me when it does. hee hee.
Have a good Memorial Day weekend, everyone.
