Flush Again

Good Morning, MyBloggerstown:

It's 5:14 am(MDT) and the light is just beginning to appear in the east as I sit here. I do love this time of day.  I've been awake since about 3 am. The pills the doctor prescribed for my sleeplessness are not working anymore so he's scheduled me for a "sleep study" next week. Another useless waste of time, in my view.  I can't sleep in a strange place anyway so I don't see how they are going to get an accurate picture of my sleep patterns. Apparently, you go there, bring yer jammies, pillow, toothbrush etc. and spend the night. I sleep with at least three pillows. I wonder if I should bring them all.  Since they are gonna attach electrodes to my head, I hope they let me get up for the bathroom.  Will they serve snacks? Have cable tv? I really don't wanna do this but I really didn't want to have mamograms or colonoscopys either and I survived.
The eagle farted early this month and I was shocked.  Social Security checks are never, ever early unless there is a holiday involved or the third of the month falls on a weekend, which it didn't. Many people here at Shady Pines report that they too got their checks early. I have a strange sense of forboding. Something is definitely wrong.
According to niece Lulubelle, school will be starting the last week of this month.  Like me, she wonders why they just don't wait til after Labor Day is over to begin the school year.  But that would make too much sense. No wonder kids can't read and write. Lulubelle's kids, Damien almost 7, and Wednesday 5, will be going to a new school this year.  Lulubelle and husband Buster had been sending them to a church run private school but they reviewed their finances and decided this was no longer feasabe, so they are holding their noses and sending them to public school this year.  Also this year, Daisy May(niece Jethrene's oldest) who will be 5 in October is going to kindergarten.  Where does the time go? Seems like just yesterday she was just learning to walk, toddling about, landing on her butt more often than not.  Jethro, Jethrene's  youngest, who will be four in September, will be going to Head Start and continuing his speech therapy.  He's really a smart little kid and he'll bypass all of them in the long run, I predict. It urks me when people, espeically fam damily members, dismiss him because he has this one, correctable problem.
A mystery to ponder: Here's the situation. The parking here at Shady Pines leaves a lot to be desired. The parking lot has 18 spaces.  There are 50 plus apartments in the building.  Granted many of us don't have automobiles because we are either too old, infirm, or financialy embarrased to own a car.  But there are still too many vehicles for the spaces provided.  This results in complaints, gripes, bitch sessions and arguments galore. Some are forced to park on the street much to the displeasure of the folks who live in the regular homes in the neighborhood.  So, I have noticed lately that on the weekends, the parking area is full to the brim...all 18 spaces taken. But during the week, there are two or three spaces vacant. Now, it is the rule, and there are signs all over, to the effect that the parking lot is for residents only. Visitors, family, caregivers, oxygen delivery people, process servers, parole officers, etc. are not permitted to park in the lot but must park on the street.  So I'm wondering why all the spaces are utilized on the weekend but not during the week.  I think either guests are using them or dip shits from the neighborhood are trespassing.  Now you might be asking, "Why the hell should you care, Bugg?  You don't even have a car."  Because  one day I might have one, plus I am a meddlesome old bitch who just needs something to complain about.

Well, I guess I'll go make a toaster struedel and watch some news.  See if the world has blown up yet.  Have a good week, everyone.
