Hope all of you had a wonderful holliday. Mine was good. Went over to brother Bubba's this year. Had a splendid time. Got to spend some quality time with the kids. Mama seemed to be in better spirits. So much so that she whipped everyone's ass in poker. She seemed to really be enjoying herself, something we were all glad to see.
Finished up the leftovers from Thanksgiving yesterday and am now brewing up a big ol' pot of chili. I got a craving for some. Invited Mama and Crazy Sis over for a bowl. It'll do Mama good to get out since the weather is mild. Invited Bubba and Suffering to but they declined citing the need to rest after the holiday and their vacation. I can unnerstand that.
Reagan the dog is getting HUGE. She must weigh about 50 lbs now and wants to sit in people's laps. She has the sharpest elbows on the planet not to mention the worst breath. Whatever happened to that puppy breath she had? Apparently ham disagrees with her because I was chastised on several occasions for slipping her tidbits. (Suffering: "Bugg! Stop giving that dog ham. It gives her the trots."). Well, it gives me the trots too, but I throw caution to the wind.
We had both ham and turkey this year(the latter being cooked by yer own bugg). Yams, mashed spuds, gravy, green bean casserole(made by Jethrene) stuffing(made by Lulubelle) peas and carrots(made by Birdseye har har) and splendid desserts like cream cheese brownies(made by Jethrene) bannana pudding(made by Suffering) and pumpkin pie(made by Crazy Sis). We also had wine and eggnog with rum in it for after dinner libations.
Got an e.mail from Mr. Bill(be still my irregularly beating heart). Sez he wanted to call the other day but had lost my number. Uh huh. He requested it and my adress. Well, I'm not sitting around here holding my breath, waiting for THAT jackass to call. And all of you who believe that, I've got some oceanfront property here in Cowsnot Wyoming I wanna sell you.
For some bizzare reason I have been thinking today is Sunday. Pro'ly due to the midweek holiday. As previously stated the weather is quite decent for this time of year. We have had some truely glorious sunrises and sunsets over the last few days. Saw a sunset just the other day that took my breath away. The sun was going down behind the distant Rockies and it was spectacular. Talk about yer purple mountains majesties. I've lived here almost a year now and still the scenic vistas blow me away.
A doctor's appointment looms for Monday. Dr. Sandtrap wants to go over the results of the heart monitor he put on me a coupla weeks ago, no doubt. I had to wear in 'round for 24 hours and it was not the most comfortable thing. Felt like I had an extra boob.
Speaking of sandtraps, I saw on the news where my "son" Tiger Woods was in a car accident. He's ok, thank goodness but some lingering questions remain. How did he manage to crash into a fire hydrant then his neighbor's tree? Was alky-hall involved( the police say no but Tiger has enough juice to get that squelched). Did he have a fight with the dumb Swe..., I mean his lovely wife, and storm off? According to news scources, she got a golf club and broke out a window on the Escalade and pulled Tiger to safety. Was she about to use the club for other purposes? Like giving Tiger a few lumps? ("take dis club an' shoove it up yer arse, yah") And where in the world was Tiger going in such a hurry at 2 am? Huh? Tiger guards his privacy like a dog guards a hambone so we may never get the straight of the matter. Like its any of our bid'ness.
Oh, well....and so the world turns. Have a good weekend, and week, everyone.
